March Favourites – Birchbox, Ipsy & Boxycharm

Hi Guys, Let’s start by me saying, it’s been a long time since I have written an article. As some of you may know, I am a new mom and being a mom can be especially challenging at times. This has definitely been the case over the past month.

It is always a pleasure writing to you guys, it’s not only great talking about makeup or any other random topic I see fit but also, it’s a blessing to be alone with my thoughts from time to time.

Let’s talk March, during the month of March, I received some amazing additional beauty items from Boxycharm. Please feel free to check out this video down below and if you feel like receiving your own Boxycharm, click the link text to be forwarded to the site or click the link in the description of my video. Also here’s the link to Ipsy as well.

I am stealing some time to highlight my favourite items in beauty for the month of March and February combined. I will be listing the products in categories of Makeup, Hair, Skincare make this article a bit easier to read. You can jut skip to the category you are most interested in.

My biggest favourite item is definitely the PUR Cosmetics eye shadow palette I received from Boxycharm, beautiful colour scheme and the shadows do not flake when applied. I fell in love with this palette instantly.

The Dirty Little Secret baked highlighter, which I received from Ipsy is another favourite of mine. I fell instantly in love with the colour and texture. It works really well with my complexion and skin tone and really does give that Sunkist glow.

The Rodial Glamobrow is also another favourite of mine, I think it has replaced my previously brow favourite, the Trestique brown pencil. I find this one is easier to apply and it comes with a brush. So I don’t need a separate tool to neaten my brows for a much more natural look.

This next item I was taken back by initially; the Hoola Lite Bronzer in matte by Benefit Cosmetics, turned out to be much more amazing than it initially seemed. I use this as a light contour product and it works really well. Mostly however, I am just in love with the smell.

Hair products.

The Oribe Straight Away Smoothing Blowout creamΒ  is another great product, I generally don’t use it as a blowout cream, I just apply it to my hair before styling because I am so in love with the smell and it make my hair super soft.

Number 4 Super Comb Prep and Protect Hair mist has been working wonders for my haircare as well, I have been using this products prior to flat ironing for the past month and IΒ  have seen fewer strands inside the bathroom sink.

Lip products

I have recently been overwhelmed by lip balms and I welcome all of them.

My top favourite has to be the Arrow Boost Lip Balm. his product is amazing, it gives my lips a nice pink hue that looks super natural and my lips feel so soft. I use this when I am really not in a makeup mood but I still want to look good.

The Bubble Cosmetics Lip Balm is another fav of mine. I use this product every single night before I go to bed and it does a great job keeping my lips moist throughout the night, Ever since I started using this product I have not had to worry about dry lips.

Trufora Facial scrub is also a good product to have, it reminded me of the Vasanti Brighten up facial scrub the instant i opened the product. The smell and texture of both items are similar and after using this scrub, I realised they both work similarly. However, while Vasanti says their scrub mimics micro balding, this one doesn’t but I suspect it’s the same.

Next, will have to be the Wilmaschumann and South mane eye pads. Now while these pads claim to reduce under eye puffiness and dark circles, I did not see any visible change when I used these products. However, what I did like is the idea of using them for a soak. Some days I am so exhausted that anything to give me the feeling of being pampered is welcomed.

Finally, the Jergens Hydrating Coconut Cream has been my most recent go too moisturizer and it is hands down the best moisturizer for dry skin I have ever used. I use this cream on my body after each shower and I am totally in love. However, I do not use this cream on my face because I have oily skin on my face.
