Beauty sub review – Ispy Glambag January

Hi Luvs! Welcome to the review of my January Ipsy Glambag items! I recently caught up with you guys on the January review of my Birchbox items, for more info on that, please refer to my previous article.

Now, let’s talk Ipsy, this subscription never ceases to blow me away, for the month of January I got six amazing asserted items of makeup and skincare. First off, the makeup bag, now when I saw this bag before receiving it, I was like “yeah whatever.” I did not think this bag was cute at all, I appreciated the sporty athletic theme but personally I am not a fan of neon colours. However, I fell in love with this bag when I got it. the mesh design and texture of the bag is so pretty. Ooh and I love the shoelace detail at the zipper, I think that was such a simple but effective touch. The quality of this bag is also good. So in a nutshell, perhaps it’s just me but I feel like the image of this bag on the Ipsy site did this bag a great injustice.

My favourite item from this glambag is definitely the Ciate London Fierce Flicks liquid eyeliner. This liner goes on effortlessly and is super pigmented. Its also long wear and smudge free. I am totally in love with this liner. Watch me use this liner:

Next up, the NYX Lip Lingerie in Beauty Mark, this is an amazing lip product, and like the Ciate london eyeliner, it came full sized and blow my mind away. It’s super smooth and silky and applies effortlessly. It’s also very lightweight, as a matter-of-fact, it’s super easy to forget you’re wearing lipstick while wearing this lippy. Another favourite item this month for which you cane have a look at in the above video.

I was very happy to receive an eye shadow contour brush from Vasanti Cosmetics in January’s Ipsy Bag as well. For those who don’t know Vasanti Cosmetics, you need to check it out. It’s a Canadian brand and I am so in love with it. Every item I have gotten from this brand is amazing and this brush is no exception, it blended my shadows super well and through all of the uses I have given to this brush, it has not yet lost a single bristle.

This next item definitely did not create an impression for me. The Befine Food Skincare Exfoliating Cleanser, did not move me one bit. I get what the makers are trying to do with promoting natural products in skincare and for some it will be a welcome addition to their skincare routine but the idea of using sugar as a facial cleanser isn’t new to me. Sugar has been a part of my skincare regimen for a very long time and I must say it’s super effective and for this I would give the creators of this product a thumbs up. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad product, it’s just not necessary for those who have cheap access to brown sugar and the smell. omg! it does not help, the additional ingredients are listed as oats and sweet almond but it smells like spoiled mango to me.

Lastly, let’s look at the Korean Sheet Masks, I don’t know where to start with this product but I received two of these in my Ispy January sub, one of which i reviewed. Here’s that video:
